Hi guys,
So, we've (hopefully) survived Black Friday, without spending too much money. I did, although my wallet still is a little angry at me. I must say that I did not make any extreme purchases this Black Friday, but I did spend some money (and saved some too :)). In today's post, I will share my purchases with you. I did not buy any of these actually on Black Friday, in the Netherlands most discounts last a little longer than only on Friday. But the discounts are not as high as in other countries. And personally, I rather stay home instead of fighting over things I don't need. But back to the haul: let's get into it!
Pre-Black Friday sale on Amazon
In the Netherlands, we don't have Amazon (yet), so we order from Germany's Amazon. Well, I do. A friend of mine tipped me off that Amazon had some great deals on English books. As a pre-Black Friday sale. Lately, I've bought quite a few books, but I always want more. I really need a larger bookcase now, it really doesn't fit anymore. I (only) bought 4 books on Amazon for a total of €20! I really liked that deal. Some books sold for less than €2! I did buy more expensive books than that, but I still enjoyed the discount. Here are the books I've bought, one you may recognize as I talked about it in my last post.
The day before Black Friday
So last Thursday, this same friend mentioned above, asked me to go the Amsterdam with her. Book shopping. And well, you can guess. I couldn't say no. In the Netherlands, we only have a few English bookstores. In Amsterdam, there are two: The American Book Center and Waterstones. I really love these stores, they give me good bookstore vibes (I hope you know what I mean..). The American Book Center had a nice deal for us, 10% off, or 20% off if you were a student (which I surprisingly am). So I bought 3 books for €28, which is a fair price. No amazing deals sadly, but still I liked the discount. I didn't buy books in Waterstones, after already buying 7 books I didn't need more (at the moment). First I will have to read all of these, plus the ones I also have waiting. The to-read-list is getting bigger and bigger. These are the books I bought:
The day after Black Friday
Like I said, I didn't buy anything on Black Friday itself. Currently, I don't have the money to be wasted on things I don't need. But in the Netherlands, some discounts last longer so I went shopping on Saturday. I went to a few stores because it was still busy. But I bought some nice things. The Sting is one of my favourite stores to buy jeans, and I was in need of a new pair. So I bought jeans for €30, instead of €40. The jeans are made of good quality denim, so I hope they will last long. Then I went to H&M, where sadly, the Black Friday sale had ended, but I had a €4 coupon. So I bought two jumpers, I also really needed more of these. Both are turtlenecks, which I'm kinda into at the moment. The green jumper is nice for less colder days and really like this colour. And this brownish jumper is really warm and soft. I was looking for a jumper like this for a long time, and I am very happy with this purchase. I spend €36 in the H&M, I think that is a very good deal for these items. Here are the jumpers I've bought, I don't have a picture of the jeans:
The colour is not clear on this picture, but it is army green (see next picture)
Today's post was a little different than from what I usually share with you guys. I hope you liked this and I would love to hear about your Black Friday purchases! See you soon!
Love,
Julia
